This coin from the 1st Iraqi Army Division represents the training team from the USMC. This is not your average coin that leaves a mint. in fact this coin is laced with beautiful features. The high polish gold trim easily separates the coin from many just in that feature along. Then look at the Eagle, Anchor, and Globe and you will see the fine detail all put up in 3D. This is one of the nicer Marine coin we have seen in 2008. (more…)

The U.S. Marines are some of the fewest coins on the market today, mostly because of the lack of funds to support these fine Marines and also the size of the force (less than 200,000 members). Yet when I find these coins they are beautiful and the pride behind the coins really shine. If anyone out there is considering collecting these USMC challenge coins, you should really check out some of the ones that are out there for trade and sale. They will bring your collection to a new level for others to see.

When making these coins come into play it’s another ball game. If your producing these coins you should have your entire heart into the project. There just aren’t many out there and we want more!
